Our Ambassador and Board
Professor Shirley Randell AO, PhD, Hon.DLitt
Professor Shirley Randell is an award-winning global mentor, trainer, author, public speaker, company director, change activist, and campaigner for human rights for women and girls. She has been an Ambassador for Dignity since 2017 and is a strong advocate for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Shirley currently serves on several boards and is Patron and Ambassador of many women’s organisations. She has provided specialist technical assistance to governments and agencies in the Asia Pacific Region and in Africa over the last 20 years as a leading expert in public sector and institutional reform, teacher education, gender mainstreaming and human rights in developing countries. Shirley was one of Australia’s 100 Inaugural Women of Influence in 2012 and one of The International Alliance for Women’s 100 World of Difference Awardees in 2013. She is a Distinguished Alumna of the University of Canberra, 2001 and the University of New England Armidale, 2013.
