Ending Homelessness

With a vision of scaling our impact, Dignity has developed a number of longer-term housing programs. In collaboration with government and corporate partners, these innovative programs drive lasting reductions in the number of people experiencing homelessness.

Dignity Intergenerational Studios

In partnership with the Department of Communities & Justice NSW and other services, the innovative Intergenerational Studios provides an intergenerational model of housing. Young people (aged 18-24) and older people (aged over 55), who are experiencing homelessness, are housed together in a safe and supportive community for up to 12 months and supported with life-skills to prepare for ‘real world’ tenancy.

A recent review of the program analysed the social impact of Dignity Intergenerational Studios with a focus on the outcomes that resulted for young people, with the review finding that the program resulted in 100% reduction in homelessness, a positive impact on the lives of young people including improvement in health and wellbeing and a 75% increase in employment.

Ready To Work Housing

In 2022, Dignity launched Ready To Work Housing in partnership with Fantastic Furniture. This unique program provides 22 people experiencing homelessness with safe, stable housing for up to 12 months, an employment opportunity, and on-site support to ensure participants have the wrap around support they need to progress through the program.

In addition to stable housing and support, residents receive food relief, a mobile phone with free data and calls, and access to brand new clothing.

95% of our residents secure employment within six weeks of joining the program.

Together we can end homelessness. Get involved.
