Because People Are People.

Supporting people in crisis and facing homelessness.

Dignity helps by providing emergency accommodation and essential services.

What do we do?

Did you know that every single night in Australia 105,237 people are homeless? Of these 44% are women and 17,845 children don't have a safe place to sleep or a bed to call their own.

We Treat People Experiencing Homelessness With Dignity.

Dignity provide safe refuge for homeless and victims of domestic violence.

Emergency Accommodation

Dignity helps people who are homeless by providing emergency crisis accommodation and food for struggling families and individuals, and we operate numerous houses all over NSW.

Dignity provide food relief for the homeless and those affected by domestic violence.

Education and Advocacy

We work closely with businesses, organisations and communities to raise awareness about homelessness and how we can work together to find solutions.

Dignity provides clothing for those in need.

Clothing

Our guests often arrive with nothing. We provide carefully selected quality clothing packs.

Please, donate.

It's not rocket science, we simply need to add more beds and Dignity needs your financial help to do it. For each $30,000 raised we can open a new refuge for a whole year. So please help!
Remember, your gift is tax-deductible.

FAQ

We receive NSW government funding on a night-by-night basis that covers some of our costs, but we rely heavily on private and corporate donations to achieve greater impact.

Three passionate women with backgrounds in social services, education and psychology decided that enough was enough and that something had to be done to end homelessness in Australia. There is a long way to go but we have made a great start.

Every night in Australia over 105,237 people are homeless according to the 2011 census. This equated to 1 in 200 Australians, and represents an increase of 17% from the 2006 census. With hidden homelessness this figure is likely to be much higher.

People experiencing homelessness are not just statistics but real people and can come from all walks of life. Someone you know could be homeless right now.

There are many and varied reasons people become homeless and it’s often a temporary crisis situation where they need help getting back on their feet.

If we can help people at this early stage many people can avoid sleeping on the streets or their cars at all.
